I think the most shocking lesson I learned from the book is that as the average American, relying on your pension or 401k is simply not enough. What did you learn from the book?

That retirement is different for each one of us and we all react differently to it. I need to spend more time planning for my retirement while at the same time working towards it.

I think that the best lesson is to have fun BEFORE you retire! So many people work hard to reach retirement so that they can then enjoy life. But by then, it may be too late! People get sick, injured, or may pass away and can no longer enjoy their golden years and fulfill their travel plans. Or they may not be able to afford it because they didn't plan ahead. I like the way the author encourages the reader to have lots of fun before retirement. It's important to have a balance in your life.

What I have learned is the fact that you can have fun even at a later stage. Old people are allowed to have fun. I have also learned about making the right decisions at a later stage.

Recently, I've come across books that encourage spontaneity and they made me question my idealogy of having plans at all time. I'm glad this book spoke on the importance of having a plan for one's life. Readers have a lot of life lessons to learn from its pages.

I learnt that retirement is quite scary and bleak if not planned out carefully. And also, even if you’re retired you could still be productive, retirement doesn’t mean the end of productive.

I learnt the need to plan every phase of one's life. I also learnt that to a large extent, the quality of life a person lives in the future is determined by how we shape that future in the present.

I learnt that while you work, you should do something you love doing and also have fun while at it. The kind of fun you envision for yourself to have after retiring from your job, why wait? When you can having the fun in the moment. I mean who knows what might happen after retirement. Things might not really go as planned.

Greatest lesson I learned from the book is to appreciate that retirement time will come sooner than I think and therefore there is need to plan for it.

The greatest lesson I learned from this book is to always make plans. Being spontaneous at times causes more harm than good.

Living in America as a retired person is expensive, especially if you haven't planned your retirement that well.

Even though I agree with the author about planning your life and for ur retirement. For it will not only make u ready for the future but it will also assure stability. But I should say that a person should also enjoy times of spontaneous moments to make life exciting
