The reason I would end this menace is that war is one of greatest reasons for mental imbalance. An immature mind can't possibly stand the gory of war.

I'm sincerely interested in this topic as the fact remains that this affects the destiny of the average kid. UN Security Council needs to come to a conclusion on its step on what happens in its member countries during war. If I'm given the privilege, countries in war who enrols children in these wars will face serious sanctions. I'm glad that these are highlights of this book.

Of course he would stop that threat if he could. I have seen many news of children with weapons, not only in African countries, but also in countries around the world. This is a worldwide problem. In the last news I saw, it made me very sad to see small children armed, knowing that in other places, children of their ages go to school and play with their tablets. It is horrible that children suffer and lose their lives due to situations that they often do not understand.

I do not think children should be drafted into war. My older brother was 18 when he joined the military. He seemed old then, but now that I look back, 18 is still so young!

It's really heartbreaking to have youth go out and fight the war of the men. It's definitely a life changing and soul altering experience. If I get the power to supplement the support that we get from the youth, I'll do it in a heartbeat. War is as ugly as it is and we don't need more people into it, especially the young.

I completely agree. I find it very sad that children have to be forced into a life of violence and bloodshed. This will definitely affect them for the rest of their lives. And if I could stop it I would also.

I don't think kids should be grafted for war. Kids are minors, they are supposed to be taken care of, protected and not forced to go into war. I feel those in authority should get a way of preventing the war and ensuring peace rather than drafting kids into war.

I find war to be a messy and traumatizing affair. It leaves such deep scars on the body and on the mind. Children should never be a part of it. Should never be forced into it. Forcing children to partake in a war is signing them up to deal with mental and or physical trauma for the rest of their lives. I really would rather abolish the whole idea of drafting kids.

From the book, it was an unjustified war which could be avoided so, I definitely would stop it. A war that is justified would have volunteers and there would be no need for drafting young people who are unwilling.

If i had the power i would definitely end it. Children need time to grow up and be molded into better people. In terms of strength, they also have to grow. This is an aspect that all leaders should be conversant with.

Stopping this horrible practice should be a collective effort. Also, it requires a sound enforcement mechanism of international laws which criminalises this. If people realise that such a conduct has a certain punishment, we will certainly win this war.

If I had the authority, I would put an end to this practise of bringing kids into the war. It is not even reasonable to consider involving the world's future generations in a horrific war.

I don't believe the government should be allowed to draft kids for war. In my opinion, you are sending most of those kids to die, especially if they don't want to be there. If the government doesn't have the manpower to fight a war, it shouldn't be going to war.

I think drafting kids for war is unacceptable. However, that is what tends to happen. Thinking of the US army most people that join, which technically adults, have just graduated high school which is almost the same thing.

Children are not fully developed to understand the concept of war. Exposing them to war will cause them more psychological trauma or genetic unbalance in the future.
