Ron's Temptation

How did we feel when Tripodo talks about his temptation with an old friend that was quite flirty? I felt like it was a juxtaposition as the focal point of the book was Tripodo's love and dedication to his wife.

His temptation is raw proof of the power of faith to preserve when all odds were against him and the undying love for his wife.

Wow, I have yet to get to this place in the book; I just picked it up not too long ago. This seems interesting though. I can already bet it will be an intriguing scene. I can't wait to get there.

I think it's normal for partners to feel tempted especially when things aren't so great in the relationship.

Well, I felt that conversations are meant to be had, regardless. I mean no matter how difficult it might seem, these things must be said. However, we can't help but have varying opinions on issues like this.

It reminded me of similar Biblical instances of great temptation such as those of Samson, Job, and even Jesus. And akin to all those instances, what was at stake for Ron was tremendous. I think his response to the temptation ultimately worked out well for him, all things considered.

I feel that Tripodo wants us to learn from him because this temptation can come to anyone.

It would have been definitely an interesting plot twist if the book was fictional. Since the focal point was love and faith.

I certainly felt like it was a situation that would provide a parallel for readers to compare and contrast the love that he had for his wife.

When Tripodo talks about his temptation with an old friend I felt that he was quite honest. In my opinion, honesty is one of the difficult parts that love requires. This convinced me once again of his love.

I think there were quite a few times where he was being very honest with us and I really appreciated that. Not just talking about this instance but also when he talked about his inicial reaction to Patsy's prognosis. Having the selfish though of if it wouldn't be better she died so he wouldn't be left with taking care of her. I feel like he purposefully admitted to these "sinful" thoughts.
For sure this was also to show his commitment.

Temptations come and go. So Tripodo talking about his experience is not bad at all

I agree with you, that scene wasn't quite necessary. I couldn't see how it linked to the focal point of the book. But I think what the author wanted us to know what that there would always be temptations.

Ron is human and a lot of temptation will come his way, but he was too dedicated to his wife
