Is the Kindle Paperwhite worth it?

I have a Kindle Paperwhite from about 10 years ago. I love it so much. I have light sensitivity issues and the Paperwhite is so gentle on my eyes and easy to use. I also love it's size and how light it is to hold. I was a firm believer that Kindle can't replace "real books", but my opinion has changed completely. I also love that you can find some really old, rare books for free on Amazon, I did a deep dive into gothic fiction and could find "Carmilla" and "The Vampyr", also a not-so-well known release from Bram Stoker, I can't recall the title, but it had a very strong female lead which was quite surprising for it's era.
