Kindle app notes export

When I conduct a review, I use the Kindle application on both of my Samsung tablet and Microsoft PC. While reading, I take notes and categorize them using four colors - pink, orange, blue, and yellow. I love this capability because it allows me to jot down my thoughts, highlight grammar or spelling issues, and more. Everything about that is great, except for the export option. It exports as an .html file which is very difficult to sort through when preparing to write my review. Has anyone experienced this same issue? If so, what have you done to make the exported file more usable? Your comments are appreciated; thanks!
