This book is sad, because it is a child with cancer. But this child had gone through a lot with this cancer. I have finished the review of this book, waiting to be approved.

It's a very emotional read especially for the authors family who gathered the courage to write such a book. I must commend them so far. It has been a read with mixed emotions.

This book stirred up so many emotions within me as I read through. Despite the sadness it offered a glimpse of hope to those going through any terminal disease, bravery and courage and determination of a fighter. I loved this book.

It was indeed a highly emotional read for me as well. I actually finished reading the book in a day and a half even though it was heavy. I just couldn’t keep it down because I wanted to know what happened to Louis after all the terrible things that he went through!

The things that Louis went through to get rid of his cancer were so painful that some adults would not be able to withstand it, yet he went through his suffering with so much grace.

His last comments in the book made me realize that children have this strength about them. Throughout his treatment, he didn't get scared or panicked at any point. He took it all in stride. What a remarkable strength for a 3-year-old!

The book takes your heart and heals it after tearing it into a few pieces. An inspiring story that will change the way you look at life.

"First Survivor" got me thinking about the sudden transformation that a family has to experience when a horrific illness knocks on their door. But families are resilient and can fight back so fiercely in order to save their loved ones.

It is a good read. It feels like an emotional roller-coaster. This book shows how parents will do anything to save their children. I really appreciate the courage of the Unger family in making their son a survivor. This book helps a lot people to get some hope and courage.

Seeing someone through sickness and then having the courage to document the experience is really uncommon. I just wish Science will be faster in finding a cure to this deadly disease called cancer.

I've been reading this book since yesterday and haven't put it down since then. It is so heartbreaking to see a little kid going through it. But he's so strong. This is the first time I'm glad to know the ending of the book before reading it.

Yes, this is a very emotional read. It will break anyone's heart to read what young Louis and his parents have gone through. The long journey towards ultimate triumph is outright emotional. The Unger's journey will definitely be a motivation for others to never give up during trying times.
