Do you judge a book by its cover?

I don't judge a book by its cover. I have learned not to do that because there was this time when I read an interesting book that didn't have an interesting cover. Nimue's cover didn't match the contents of the story but I read it and I enjoyed the story.

I’d say that the cover didn’t relay as much information as it should have. But the content covered up for that, and for me, it was a five star read. I also did a video review of the book on behalf on OBC. You can watch the video review on YouTube..

No, I don't judge a book by its cover. It is god for everyone to have a fresh start and a blank slate.

Loaded question, I think! While I normally don't go off a cover, I may judge the title. I have randomly gone through a stack of books in someone's picks and just grabbed a book out of random and found that i couldn't put it down. Nimue was not my normal taste in books but it had sparked my attention in other parts of my life so I tried it!

Unfortunately, it ends up happening subconsciously. Moreover, the cover does seem to set the tone for any book. I usually see the description at the back before choosing to buy a book.

No doubt the content suits the cover page so we'll but I won't buy it for a first time because the cover page was dull.

I seldom rely on covers. They reflect someone else's perspective, distinct from the author's, merely another opinion that could be either favorable or detrimental to the book. I lean towards reading blurbs or reviews. In Nimue's case, the cover wouldn't have influenced my decision to purchase the book.

I am guilty of judging books by their covers. When I read the title, Nimue: Freeing Merlin, I knew it was fantasy fiction from the name Merlin. Although, I had no clue who/what Nimue was.

Growing up, I enjoyed watching films that included Merlin as a skilled wizard/sorceror who often disguised hisself as an assortment of different animals and was an important icon in relation to the tales of King Arthur and the sword Excalibur.

Not only was I interested in the variations of Merlin in the media. Fantasy as a genre has always had a special place in my heart. So, naturally, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to read this novel. I am mildly curious about the other books in the series as well.

I know I should not, but I almost always judge a book by its cover. It would take a good review to get me to read a book with a boring cover. For Nimue, I believe the cover matches exactly what I would expect; I would have read the book based on the cover.

Of course I do, yes. I look for books based on what immediately grabs my attention and comes to mind. Yes, the cover page is a major factor in choosing a book. It provides a wealth of information on the inner literary work. It is true that the cover page captures our interest and makes us more likely to take up the article to read.
