Sub-Forum for 'Romance'

A sub forum for paranormal romance would be much appreciated as well. It's almost useless to me as is because I don't read contemperary. If it's not weird it's not me.
Also Horror could use one too.
I like my horror to be supernaturally inclined.
Please?

It's for Scott to decide but IMO we are OK as is - I don't see any advantage in having a multiplicity of sub-forums (fora?)

You could do a search for the word paranormal in the romance subforum. It won't guarantee perfect results. But if you play around with the search engine, you will find it can be a very useful tool. However, you often will have to play around with different search options and search terms, depending on what you are looking for, to narrow down the results just enough that you are neither swimming in irrelevant results nor not getting enough results.

What I would like to do is manually create digests of books at some point. For instance, there could be a topic with a list of links to all the topics for all the books one can find in a certain narrow genre. However, that would require a lot of labor hours.

Alternatively, I suppose maybe one day I could come up with a tagging system that would enable one to tag new topics--at least those in the genre forums--with more specific subgenres. But that might not work too great since it would rely on the people submitting new topics to thoroughly go through the list of subgenres and select all that apply.

Maybe a contemporary fiction or a historical fiction sub-forum?

There is a section for classics, so what would be difference between other fiction (not classics) as opposed to contemporary fiction?

Other than that, I have noted the proposals for adding the genres for paranormal romance and historical fiction. However, I do not think it is best at this time to add more subforums for such specific genres. For the time being, paranormal romance genre subforum can be put in the romance section and historical fiction can be put in the other fiction genre subforum. However, I encourage everyone to make more suggestions of genres. Having a full list of genres will make it easier to come up with the most logical and user-friendly categorization structure.

Urban fantasy
High fantasy
(I'd say weird western but I'm not sure how popular this genre is right now)
Paranormal romance

IMO that many sub-forums would create an incredibly unwieldy site - many of these suggested catagories are in any event interchangeable and nonspecific.
