Hi,
I just joined the forum yesterday, and I was wondering if we could have a chat feature. I've seen it in other forums and it's really useful, especially for new-comers to get used to the forum and the kind of things discussed.
I don't know if this idea was put forth earlier and discarded with good reason, but I just thought it might be something useful.

I meant a chat room but a shoutbox would be good too, if we could somehow avoid spammers and bots.

Yes, I would like to incorporate a shoutbox. I would block the spammers by disallowing use of the shout box to new members just like is done with linking.
