Does anyone know how I can access ebooks to review?

Post by obiebookworm »

I've joined over a week ago and have been posting a bunch, but I cannot access ebooks to review. Each time I go to the drop-down box to choose a genre, it tells me that I'm at 0 and I haven't reviewed any books. How am I suppose to review if I can't access ebooks to review? This makes no sense! Help!!

Some genres don't have a lot of books. You should try looking at the list with all genres. The most common is non-fiction. There aren't a lot of books right now, unfortunately. You also should try checking all formats for books. Most are Kindle files.

If you still don't find any...I'm not sure. How long have you been trying to access books? A day? A week? I remember when I joined I found nothing for a day or two. The amount of books fluctuate very rapidly.

I also don't find any kind of ebooks over a week now. I don't read non-fiction.

Nobody answers my enquiries either. :( Anyway, I have enough books to read, so I don't need to count on it.

I read non-fiction -- how do we get the books to review?

I think the team's currently working on it. I hope everything's okay! I desperately want to review these books, too. A book reviewer job is a dream come true for hardcore bibliophiles :D

Members with a higher number of posts get first dibs, which is almost impossible for the rest of us to review. Sigh, a pity! I'll still visit this forum regularly though. I want to review at least one book at online book club :)

I am new here too and can't figure this out. I am a top 100 reviewer for Amazon and get tons of free books to review. I love reading and thought maybe I could make a couple of extra dollars doing this. But I won't waste my time if it isn't more user friendly...there is pretty much an unlimited supply of books at Amazon for viners. I was going to double post my reviews both here and at Amazon.

How can one join Amazon reviewers' team and get free books to review? Thank you for your answer.

It is invitation only. If you write very helpful reviews, Amazon eventually invites you. I don't know exactly how many reviews or helpful votes are necessary. I have done thousands of reviews. Authors and publishers contact me all of the time for reviews, but there is no money in it. In fact Amazon won't allow paid reviews through vine, That's why I wondered about this since I am writing them anyway. However, from my limited experience here, this appears to be a nonstarter.

Thank you. I have many reviews (in my blog), but I didn't put them on Amazon. Free books are enough for me. :)
