Forum question: what does 'add foe' function do?

I understand the 'add friend' concept of course, but is 'add foe' a cutesy way of saying you want to block someone from speaking to you? I am reluctant to press it and find out if so in case I can't reverse it!

According to the FAQ, if you add a user to your foes list, any posts they make will be hidden by default.
