New section for drama?

Hi all!
With the children's section having recently been added and after reading that there may be a section for original creative writing, I thought it might be worthwhile for some members to have a drama section too. To clarify, this would only include plays and not novels or poetry and would therefore be a genre of its own and separate from the other two. Here would be placed such authors as Shakespeare, Marlowe, Miller etc., but not Dickens or Byron. This may not perhaps be the most popular of categories on the site, but for those like myself who read drama it would be nice to have a space in which to discuss this type of reading. I know there are a few already who would appreciate this. I also think that it may encourage others to read more drama if those curious about it know where to look
What do you think?

I agree with you.
I was adding some books the other day and I found that many of my books don't apply to any of the categories we have for now.
If my opinion counts for anything, plain "Literary Fiction" would be awesome as well (you know, books that aren't exactly drama but aren't exactly fantasy or sci-fi or Young Adult).

I think this is a good idea.
We do have Literary Fiction as "other fiction" category.

We do? Maybe I didn't notice or it wasn't there yet two days ago.
Thanks

My mother also suggested I add historical fiction genre. And we have a proposal for paranormal romance.
It should be noted that I use the same genre taxonomy throughout the site: in the subforums for genres, in the categories of official reviews from the review team, and for genre categories on Bookshelves.
Rather than adding one at time in a ad hoc manner, I would prefer to work together to think out the best complete taxonomy. We want to have enough categories that all books fit into one and so that it is easy to browse the thousands of different books, but we don't want to have so many that it makes it too hard to select just one genre.
The 8 genres we have right now are:
-Classic Books
-Non-Fiction
-Crime, Thrillers, Mystery and Horror Books
-Sci-Fi and Fantasy Books
-Romance and Erotic Books
-Young Adult Fiction Books
-Children's Books
-Other Fiction
On the table to add is:
-Drama (i.e. plays)
-Paranormal Romance
-Historical Fiction
Any other suggestions or input on those is greatly appreciated.

I think we should add all 3 categories (Drama, Paranormal Romance, Historical Fiction).

Thanks, Scott. I think all three would be very useful and there are no more that I can think of adding. "Non-fiction" encompasses anything from reference books to philosophy and "drama" would provide a specific place for plays. The other two suggestions I think pretty much tie things up

I thought about suggesting urban fantasy for this...
But I think I may be the person who reads it

There's already a "Fantasy", so I imagine they all could be placed in there. What's happening with this, anyway? A very useful tool would be regular, automatic updates regarding what the Overlord is currently working on

He prefers the term "Master" ... so I've heard.
Not really. I just made that.
Like I do...

That's where I've been putting them
But you'd be surprised how very different UF is from 'fantasy'
Almost as seperate as PR is from 'romance'.
Moreso in it's way
