How do I get to open the book and start reading it, seems it's not opening this side [resolved]

I am tapping on the book so that it can load for me to read it, but all in vain. How can I download a book I have added to my shelf

And thank you for the message. I understand you are trying to download a book from your bookshelves? You need to go to your select tab to select and download a book instead.

I have downloaded the book and it says it is on my shelf—however I cannot get it to open. Ian using an iPad not a Kindle
