Reading apps adjusting pages (Resolved)

Has anyone seen issues with reading applications adjusting the page numbers. Sometimes I will switch from an Android phone, an Apple iPad and a Chrome browser to read something on the Amazon Kindle application/site. I have noticed that the page numbers at the bottom are often inconsistent.

I have had issues with this in the past, especially when it came to indicating which pages had profanity or sensitive topics. This unfortunately led me to discontinue use of OBC for a while. I am thinking of getting back into attempting to review but did not know if anyone else faced this issue in the past and had any suggestions for a remedy.

I also face the same issue from time to time and it is good to just use one device to read a whole book and note the page numbers according to that device. If asked for screenshots you can then provide them.

I have the same problem. If you’re reading on kindle you might want to give the location or simply the pourcentage, it adds more clarity.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out. I think this issue only appears on mobi and epub files. For pdf files, the page numbers are usually correct. I have never experienced this with kindle, though, but if you're experiencing it, I recommend that you adjust your settings to show location numbers instead of page numbers. For epub files, I usually use the OBC e-reader app to record the page numbers. I hope this helps.

Thank you.
Melissa.
