The target audience for this book is first-time visitors or travelers to America. Immigrants who have already spent a few months there and are experiencing cultural shock would enjoy reading this book. This book will appeal to both adults and teenagers who travel for a variety of reasons, including work, opportunity, and studies.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is new to a country. It would help them know that they are not alone. They will easily learn of the cultural diversity they may experience. Anyone who is also interested in reading about the views of immigrants and their experience can read this book.

The area where I live has a large immigrant population. I would recommend this book to be used in ESL high school classes as a way for students to learn the benefits available of living in the United States.

I would recommend The great migration to lovers of freedom chasing adventures, pilgrims, and groups of people that want to travel due to various reasons. It reminds me of the exploratory days of the Vikings and Caribbean explorers. Sojourners and Voyagers
