I wasn't expecting a historical society doing a professional dig after the discovery of the possible pirate marker. There were several areas I think more information should have been given. However, the mystery about the girl who appeared for Lea was entertaining. I felt like her Aunt Meg could have been a bit more supportive.

This book definitely had it's positives. The way the book was structured definitely made sure that I was hooked until the very end. The plot grew interesting with every other chapter. So, answering the question, I did enjoy the book and it did meet my expectations.

I also agree - I would have enjoyed more "ghost" in the ghost story. The coming-of-age part was nicely developed.

I love the mystery genre, historical fiction, or stories about the inner journey of protagonists.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I started, it but I did enjoy reading it. I would have liked a little more of the ghost though, maybe a lean into a spooky story but overall it was enjoyable to read!

The book exceeded expectations with its captivating narration, keeping the reader engaged until the end. Lea's journey, intertwined with spooky elements of ancient folklore, held interest throughout the story.

Yes, it met my expectations. I didn't expect much from it and it met the little that I expected. I appreciate the work put in to write the book.

The title of the book had me expecting something different. However, the actual content of the book was absolutely fantastic. The mystery in the book added to its beauty.

I thought it was going to be a more action packed adventure novel. That’s not to say I was disappointed.. far from it, not every book has to be raw action and happenings all the way through. It was gentle and informative.

The narration kept me glued till the end of the book. The plot, Lea’s journey, and the spooky elements of ancient folklore retained my interest in this story till the end.was eventually wanting more after reading the book. The plot was well organised and interesting at the same time. I so much enjoyed this book.I found myself captivated not only by the coming-of-age narrative but also by the intriguing elements of mystery and historical fiction
