I think she handled it about as well as any teenager could. I don't think her parents handled it well in relation to her.

As Lea navigates her complex emotions and progresses through the recovery process, she conveys the message that it is all right to feel a myriad of emotions and to understand that the process can take time to deal with such a profound life change. Lea seemed to be more concerned about the depiction of a realistic and compassionate perception of the world through the eyes of a child coping with the divorce, which shows the main reason why I can potentially relate to it.

Divorce isn't that easy to take in, especially for a teenager. It is completely understandable how she acted, given her age. I think everyone handles it differently, and she did it in her own way and and how best she was able to by that time.

Facing this decision is one of the difficult and worst situation in the life of children. But as a teenager, I can say that Lea handled the situation upto the extent to which she can be.

I think the young girl in the story showed remarkable resilience and coping skills, but her parents' relationship and parenting were severely lacking.

I think she handled it quite well for her age. She is only a teenager and that is a lot to deal with at her young age, so she handled it the only way she knew how. Her parents, however, could've handled the delivery and the subsequent separation much better then they did.
