Spradlin’s cultural sensitivity was pivotal in his quest as it allowed him to navigate diverse communities with a genuine openness and respect that transcended mere observation. By immersing himself in local traditions and listening to personal stories without preconceived judgments, he forged authentic connections that enriched his understanding of Freddie’s multifaceted world. This approach not only facilitated access to hidden narratives but also fostered trust, enabling him to piece together a more nuanced and intimate portrait of Freddie's journey. Spradlin’s sensitivity wasn’t just a tool; it was a bridge that connected fragmented memories across cultures, turning his quest into a shared exploration of identity and belonging.

I believe that cultural sensitivity was the crucial factor in his success. Had he not been able to understand and respect the cultural nuances, his endeavor would have been doomed to fail.

I believe that Spradlin’s cultural awareness aided him in obtaining information and locating his client. He was very familiar with the local culture and this eased his movements in the airports and he was also able to befriend people from that area. Thus, it allowed him to be acknowledged as less foreigner and get more information from his sources. It also ensured that he did not get stranded at the airport as often happened with most people.

By respecting local customs and learning the language, he built trust with the locals, which provided him with crucial information and support.
