Honestly, 'Quest: Finding Freddie' by Thomas Richard Spradlin is a seriously compelling read! It's like a sweet mix of historical facts, adventure, and political drama that's set in 1970s Nigeria. The author's writing style is on point - it's detailed, immersive, and has just the right amount of humor. I gotta say, I loved every thing about this book! Especially the parts about Lagos, which hit close to home since I'm from there. It was dope to see my city through a foreigner's eyes.

The book addresses a sensitive topic with great care, and what I appreciated most was the authentic portrayal of the Nigerian experience. As someone who isn't Nigerian, I found many aspects both fascinating and intriguing. I would wholeheartedly give it five stars and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys inspiring reads.
