Hi Adaboo, I was talking about the book of the month "Quest: Finding Freddie: Reflection From the other side", by Thomas Richard Spradlin
What do you think of the book cover and Did it make you want to read this book in an instant?

I like the cover chosen for this book. Though a little generic, using a map of Africa clearly connects to the story.

I really did not respond to the book's cover. A map on the cover of a book takes me back to my school days, and I think of one of my history books. I would have preferred something with a little more pop of color to spark my interests.

The book's cover appeals to me. Using an African map is somewhat generic, but it makes an obvious connection to the narrative.

I think the cover passes It off as geography guide book as opposed to what it really is. Infusing other elements alongside the map on the cover would have made it more attractive IMO.

The book cover showcases a map, suggesting a narrative centered around travel or exploration, likely set in Africa based on the geographic focus. Using a vintage-style map as the backdrop enhances the sense of adventure and mystery, complementing the title "Quest" effectively.

The art work is warm though. This is in my opinion of the art, is telling me the hot weather condition of Africa, that's maybe the perceptive of the artist. In my opinion. And maybe giving us info of that continent and the other overseas around it.

Initially, I was confused about the cover but after reading the synopsis, I feel that the cover was an apt one. Al though that is the case, the cover alone didn't made me want to read this book.

Shirley, I understand your perspective on the cover. While the map might evoke school memories, I think it aligns well with the book's adventurous and fantastical theme. A more vibrant cover could indeed catch more eyes, but the current design subtly hints at the intricate world-building inside. It's a matter of personal taste, though, and your preference for a pop of color makes sense for drawing immediate attention.

@Anthony Ekemezie I totally agree with you about the cover! The African map design adds a unique touch and connects well with the story's diverse cultures and settings. It's a visual hint at the rich, multifaceted world the author has created. The book's action-packed narrative and intriguing characters make it even more compelling. Have you had a chance to dive into the story yet?

Abi_rami, I totally understand your initial confusion about the cover. After diving into the synopsis and reading the book, I found the cover to be quite fitting as well. However, I agree that it wasn't the cover that drew me in. The intriguing premise and dynamic characters are what truly captivated me. If you enjoy action-packed fantasy with rich world-building, I think you'll find "Demonslayer" worth a read despite the cover not being a major draw.
