I am not sure if he qualifies as a side character, but my favorite person was Chima, Richard's driver. He was calm, honest, and loyal. He was the perfect foil to many of the other side characters.

Yes, I agree with Diana. Chima was a very loyal driver. He didn't ask too many questions. He just was ready whenever Richard needed him and went wherever he was told to go. The only time that he questioned Richard was when he was asked to drive him to the dangerous part of town.

I actually thought many of the side characters were interesting. I don’t get that from every book, so I appreciated it. I don’t want to misspell the names, but Chima, Peter, Peter’s bodyguard, and Nwando were particularly fascinating characters. I loved the close relationships between the characters, too.

Chima for the win! His history and actions helped add to the thrilling feel of the book. I would definitely read a memoir of his if it were to ever come out. Maybe someone should ask him to write one.

WOW! Until I read this post, I had forgotten that Chima was an actual person. The book reads like a fictional novel, and it was easy to overlook the fact that he really existed. It would be fascinating to read the same story from his perspective.

Bosede and Chima were interesting side characters for me, particularly because of the history involving the Civil War and how they managed to co-exist and work together despite coming from opposing tribes.

Richard's faithful driver, Chima, was cool, collected, and trustworthy; she only questioned Richard when necessary. He was the ideal counterpoint to Nwando and Peter, the bodyguard for Peter, among other supporting characters. Readers found these characters particularly compelling because of their intimate relationships with one another.

Chima was an interesting character for me. He's such a cool, collected and trustworthy guy and I will choose him over and over again amongst other characters.

I thought Chima was the most interesting side character. Throughout the book, I wondered if his loyalty was driven by his strong character or the money being offered by his employer, Richard.

There were a few side characters that I found interesting, but I have to go with the majority of the people here: Chima and his collected self. I also think the majority of characters, like Bosede, also played an interesting role.
