While I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it seemed like a lot of detail went into describing the female characters physical appearance that seemed unnecessary. While most of the male characters were described by their strong character, a lot of the women seemed to be subtly sexualized in a way that did not seem entirely necessary.

I agree with Samantha's comment above. On that note, It felt as though the series of events with Ms. Larsson escalated too quickly. Their interactions at the swedish embassy were fine and meaningful to the story, but their encounter at the hotel, particularly the end of their meeting, felt a little forced and too rapidly escalated. The novels strength was in it's suspense, the detailed focus on women's appearance, while useful to the narrative to an extent, I think could have been dialed back just a little.

I found the book's slow start to be my least enjoyable aspect, as it took me a while to become fully invested in the story.

Agreed! I made a comment in my book review about this. All of the women were described in relation to a man or in how they would attract a man. Even the women who played a significant role in his success were brushed off as “mere women”.

“While ‘Quest: Finding Freddie’ offers deep insights, the book’s pacing can be uneven, occasionally slowing down the narrative and impacting overall engagement.”

The pacing was a bit slow in the middle.

The slow start was a problem. Also, knowing Lagos well, the description was not too perfect

Although "Quest: Finding Freddie" provides profound perspectives, the book's tempo is sometimes inconsistent, causing the storyline to drag in certain sections and affecting the overall momentum of the narrative.

Although I really liked this book, I felt that excessive detail was devoted to the physical appearances of the female characters, which seemed unnecessary. In contrast, the male characters were primarily depicted through their strong personalities, while many of the women appeared to be subtly sexualized in a manner that didn’t seem entirely warranted.

I really enjoyed this book but my least favorite part was the author's need to put in so so soooo much detail. I appreciate a bit of detail but he was describing such minor things in such great detail, such as the amount of money he put in each of his pockets. It was unneeded and did not add to the story at all. In many ways it actually distracted from the story. The book also had a slow start became of the amount of time he spent describing getting ready for the trip. So much of that could have been cut out and the story would not have suffered at all. In my opinion, it would be an improvement as we would have gotten to the exciting part of the book much faster.
