Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

I liked the personable aspect. The caring side of Spirit, the humorous side of Zix, the human and sympathetic side of some of the archdemons. I’m not a fan of battle scenes or fighting yet there were enough of the other aspects of the story to keep me happy.

I like the plot of the story revolving around magic. Also, I loved reading the story of the struggle between the good and evil powers to save the humanity. The element of humor and the unpredictability of the engaging plot of the story are the other features worth mentioning in the story.

I enjoyed the personable aspects of the story. Spirit's caring nature, Zix's humor, and the sympathetic sides of some archdemons stood out. Despite not being a fan of battle scenes, the other elements kept me engaged.

I enjoyed a lot in this book. One of the key things I loved was the sibling connection between Emily and Spirit, I appreciated how they seem to be willing to do whatever is required for each other!
I also really enjoyed the fact that we were able to read the novel not only from the perspective of the good guys but also from that of the demons, it made me think more deeply about their perspective and that helped me view the good and bad as not just black and white but also a grey area!

The novel's central theme of magic forms the cornerstone of its captivating plot, weaving an intricate tapestry that immediately drew me in.

This magical element serves as a compelling backdrop for the age-old struggle between good and evil forces, with humanity's fate hanging in the balance.

One of the story's strongest assets is its ability to balance this epic struggle with moments of levity.

The infusion of humor throughout the narrative provides welcome relief from the tension, allowing readers to connect more deeply with the characters and their world.

The depth of their connection is evident in their commitment to each other, willing to go to extraordinary lengths for one another's sake.

One of the things that I liked the most about this book was the world building. I truly like to see, especially in fantasy books, that the author takes the times to explain and show us the world that a character is living in. It helps me as a reader visualize what's going on and helps me immerself myself in the book.

Exactly what I was thinking of.

I loved how Spirit and his sister always looked out for each other. Every decision they made was for the other's benefit. Spirit fought hard battles, and put himself in harm's way to help his sister get the medication she needed to live.

I loved the way the chapters are headed, and are about, the main characters. I loved delving into the archdemon’s lives. I liked the beginning and how it connects to the story later.
