Sister Rosalie's personality is vividly portrayed right from the get go. As the students are boading the bus at the beginning of the book, she captures the reader's attention right away with her boisterous, assertive, and charismatic personality. She is also caring and excited for the lives of the orphans under her care. :techie-studyinggray:

I agree with Gerry that Sister Rosalie was the character whose personality was most vividly portrayed by the author. I loved her spunk and her love for Vanessa and the other orphans.

Sister Rosalie for her compassion and love for Vanessa. Vanessa was seen as a go getter with a passion for living and overcoming obstacles to succeed.

Todd and Venessa primarily however Trisha is also a good mention. I could picture Todd as the snobby rich-kid, Venessa as the celibate church-girl, and Trisha as the discipline free-spirit.

Vanessa for her passion and resilience, while Sister Rosalie for her care and real hospitality.

Sister Rosalie's character was the strongest from the start of the book. She was full of passion and love and spunk. Later on in the book, Vanessa and Trisha's characters became more strong and well described, especially their friendship that managed to survive being on opposite coasts.
