I really enjoyed the historical references to Iran and the events that unfolded during his term. There were details in there that I was not familiar with that helped paint a picture of the past relationship between Iran and Western nations.

The book is a great one overall, but for me the beginning of the book seemed so deep and sentimental. It intrigued me so much, that's what made me read the whole thing.

There is so much in the book to enjoy. This inspirational book has a lot to offer its readers. What inspires me the most is the protagonist's triumphant journey. Cyrus experienced difficult conditions, yet they did not prevent him from becoming a great businessman in America. The plot's emphasis on hard effort and the value of education is the second component I love. Success tales are always inspiring and worthy of applause. I'm glad I came across this book.

I found many things to like about Odyssey of High Hopes. It shows how perseverance and hard work can make dreams come true. It contained enough background information to help the reader understand the obstacles the author had to overcome to achieve his goals. I thought including the philanthropic activities of the author demonstrated the importance of giving back and helping others achieve their goals. It is a great example of living the American Dream.

I really enjoyed the first part of the book when Cy was describing growing up in Iran. It was the best story-telling in the book and the funny anecdotes were endearing. I keep thinking about how he locked his sister in the closet and forgot.

I liked Book 1 the most. I enjoyed reading about life in Iran and found Cyrus's journey to adulthood fascinating. He writes with a light touch, and the story is easy to read. His intelligence and drive were incredible and led to many outstanding achievements. I was thoroughly engrossed in Book 1 but not so enamoured of Books 2 and 3.

I am writing my review of this book, and what I love most about it is how far Cy has come in his life. He never forgets the lessons his father taught them all growing up. He always remembers his homeland, his family, and how hard he fought to get where he was, and he never takes anything for granted. He seems like not only a very intelligent person but a very gracious one. I think he would be an extremely interesting person to talk to.

The young boy, Cyril, showed his determination and energy when working toward a goal. I was impressed by how unstoppable he was at a young age. That characteristic was evident later in his life when he sold his ideas and conceptions, and he became a success at his work.
