I honestly don't like the title; even with the "dumb" being in quotes. I get what the author was going for, but I don't think it does the book much justice or show the incredible resilience of the kids.

I agree to say that the title sounds odd, but it is quite a catalyst for people to read the book. It make people think, who exactly are these dumb orphans, and why are they call that? It's quite smart with a bit of mystery in it.

I like the title and see it fit for the book. Alot of people might find the word
dumb
as insensitive however given the plot of the book I think it’s is suitable and the author did not use the word is any derogatory sense. Orphans always lack opportunity and resources to better themselves and is therefore referred to by general society as
dumb
. I really like the concept of the book and the author chose a pretty good title.

I wasn't sure at first. Now I have the read the book and understand where the title has come from I like it. Having discovered where if has come from in the book now gives it much more meaning than when first seeing it on the front cover. It is clever.

I think the title is unsettling. Using the word dumb with orphans isn't very pleasant. What actions would be fitting for an orphan to be called dumb? This is the first thing that came to mind when I saw the title.

I have very mixed feelings about the title. It's great as an attention grabber, and it certainly makes a potential reader curious, so maybe it is designed as a marketing gimmick. I suspect there is more to it than that though.

To be honest, my first reaction to the book title is surprise. What does this author mean by dumb orphans. But realizing it was in quotes made me think there may be more to the meaning intended that was being let on. I won't say further, lol.

The title "Dumb" Orphans is striking and provocative. It immediately challenges perceptions, making readers question the stigma around the word "dumb" and how society labels disadvantaged children. It sets the stage for a story that’s likely about resilience, misunderstanding, and the power of education.

I wasn’t sure how the title related during the first few chapters, but I liked how they tied it in throughout their adventures and brought it back as a joke on Samu. I thought his explanation at the ceremony summed up the book and their journey nicely.

I knew that the title was a metaphor to represent the orphans being voiceless in their society. This is a really unique title, honestly.

The title is intriguing and thought-provoking. The quotation marks around "Dumb" suggest irony, making me curious about how the story challenges this label. It feels like a powerful narrative about resilience and proving stereotypes wrong!

At first, the title Dumb Orphans feels harsh, even uncomfortable—but that’s what makes it powerful. It challenges assumptions and makes you question the labels society puts on vulnerable kids. By the end, it’s clear that the title is meant to be ironic, proving just how wrong those labels can be.
