Did you like the book cover page illustrations!?

Knowing this is intended to be more of a kid's chapter book, yes. I think the cover designer definitely kept the target audience and author's writing style in mind when designing the cover.
Also, if you note, there are elements from the books on the cover. The orphans, obviously, but there's the mongoose that was mentioned in the book as well. The cover designer definitely read the book and figured what the author was intending.

The book cover is playfully designed to capture the attention of young readers. It says that the trilogy is about children who are resourceful and know how to make their lives happy. As someone else mentioned above, the mongoose is a lovely touch.

The cover of this book immediately reminds me of many books I read in my childhood. I can already tell from the scene portrayed that we are going on some wild adventures with the characters, probably dangerous ones too.

Honestly, no. I thought it and the drawings throughout were from someone who was attempting to draw but wasn’t skilled, or from a child. I’m not skilled at understanding what is good art and what isn’t, but I felt like the art could have been more professional

Hi, just curiously asking why you think the cover is misleading and what did you think the content would be based on the cover?

Yes, I like the illustrations on the cover of this book. I think it's cute and innocent, with soft colors, not too flashy but with the implication of a possible adventure. It's a very interesting drawing and appropriate for the story.

I thought it represented one of the children drawing their adventures well.

I would like to add to my previous post, I was looking at another picture from the book. The cover depicts a scene where the children were exploring the cave with glow worms in a jar. I think it shows how ingenious they were at such a young age to be able to brainstorm and come up with a way for them to see in the dark. I think it is perfect for a children's book to pique their curiosity because children are always up for an adventure.
