What I like in the book is the author's inspirations throughout the book encouraging us to work on our passions with undieing dedication. From her rise, she proves backgrounds do not determine anyone's future.

I did not like this book. The author did not go into depth on her life, only all of her accomplishments. The only part that I liked a little was when she was a little girl and worked at her mom's store in the port.

I was surprised, and I enjoyed it when Monico praised and criticized our country. It was very interesting, and I agreed with everything she said. As an immigrant looking at our country and seeing the good and the bad was refreshing. The story about finding her mother in NY after 911 happened was so tragic and it was a miracle she was found.

Miracles, paranormal phenomena, and magical phenomena without sufficient substantial evidence do not gain belief in the authorish view. They only believe in such things that possess both logical and empirical evidence, and normally supernatural/paranormal/magical phenomena possessed little convincing evidence that could allow for sincere belief. Whereas if Jesus is taken to be the "Son of God," as on many terrains, he could refer to an alleged virgin birth/magical conception, then the author would either doubt that any man could conceive and have God as the only fertilizing source of such a woman or that a woman could conceive without utilizing any human male sperm. If there is one omnipotent God who is also all-loving and forgiving, he/she would consider all mankind to be his/her children, including Jesus.

I liked how the author showed resilience in the worst of backgrounds, and how she didn't let that discourage her dreams and inspirations. She still pursued her dreams come what may!

If I had to pick just one thing I liked most about "They Love You Until You Start Thinking for Yourself," it would probably be how genuinely inspiring it was. I mean, there were so many things to appreciate – her writing style, the themes, the structure – but what really stayed with me was just how incredibly inspired I felt after reading it. It wasn't just a fleeting feeling, either. Monica's story, her resilience, her perspective on challenges, and her unwavering belief in herself… it all just kind of seeped into me

I like a lot about this book, and it makes it quite difficult to choose which one tops it. I like the relationship between Monica and her father, the support she gets, and the lessons she learned that kept her going. I like her strength and resilience, as not everyone has the fortitude to go through all life threw at her and end up successful.

I loved a lot of things about this book. However, my favorite quality was Monica herself. Her resilience and mindset was inspiring. I also loved her relationship with her father. Not often do you see a relationship like that in our world today and it warmed my heart to read about his encouragement to her.

What I liked most about the book They Love You Until You Start Thinking for Yourself is the author's display of family values and how the author expressed that it is essential to safeguard cultural heritage. In addition, the author states that Indigenous traditions are to be studied and passed down to future generations, which I agree with. I also liked how the author showed the family interaction in the book and found it interesting, especially since I do not know much about my heritage. Another key point I liked and found very intriguing was how the author traveled internationally from Nigeria and spoke different languages.

I loved the fact that she has loving parents who cared and want the best for her. And also the background information she portrayed about her family in the early pages of the book was heartwarming.
