I like that the cover is bright, but it doesn’t scream thriller to me, and appears to be more of a romance novel with the giant heart at first glance. I think the art is fun and whimsical, but readers may incorrectly assume the book is a romance story!

Like several others, I initially thought this book was a romance novel. The main pink and red colors as well as the font resemble other romance novels that I've seen and read. My friend absolutely loves that genre, so I have seen several of her books. In my opinion, pretty font is a common theme or style used for the genre. The heart and title make it sound like a love story too. I clicked on the book to learn more about it after seeing the cover. It is eye-catching and drew me in! After reading a review, the plant on the cover and the person in the car have ties to the story. I also like that the heart looks like another monstera leaf. Although this is not a romance novel, I would still read it. The genre is thriller and mystery. I also enjoy that the book is self-published!

I think at first glance, the cover looks a lot like a romance novel. Then when you begin to look deeper the leaves on top of the heart begin to look darker like spider webs. Along with the name, I can understand where the author is coming from, wanting the genera to be understated. However, if I saw this book sitting on the shelf I would pick it up because it is a catching title, but then be surprised to find that it is a thriller.

At first glance, the bold, bright red vehicle, combined with the pretty, swirly writing, made it look like some kind of romance novel—but then I saw the woman in the vehicle and the sharp tagline of the title, and figured something was amiss under the cover. The background, which is lush and moody, and the sharp, bright red car, leaves something to be hinted at—secrets, danger, or perhaps a personal quest. I appreciate how it subverts your expectations in this case—this book seems like it's got some edge behind the charm, and that makes me pretty curious.

On first glance and second glance, I passed this book by, because it looks like a girl next door romance novel. The cover does not convey mystery, murder or thriller. I know the leaves have to do with the Arboretum in the book, but it just makes it look whimsical without context. But how to change it? I'm sure the cover conveys several aspects of the book. Maybe keep the leaves and add a body silhouette and a bottle of poison?

The cover caught my eye right away, because of the red and pink that stands out and the lettering. The artwork doesn’t reveal that it’s a thriller, and it will keep readers wondering what it’s about.

The cover of "Bless Your Heart" makes me think of romance because of the heart on the cover and because the book is predominantly pink. It also has a car on the cover with a driver that is wearing shades. I wonder if the driver is running away or to love. I have not read the book but it does look interesting.

I found the cover eye-catching. The use of strong colors and a distinct color palette makes it cohesive. I also enjoyed the drawing style, and I'm interested in knowing how it reflects the contents of the book itself.

The red is striking on the cover and catches the eye, and the heart fits the title 'Bless Your Heart', but at first glance, I thought it might be a romance novel. I don't know what could avoid that misdirect? Perhaps Put A Jeannie Johal Thriller in the heart, which is bigger than the car and therefore more of a first glance factor and put Bless Your Heart in bold on the vehicle. However, I always read the blurb and don't judge just by the cover, so I didn't flip past a thriller I am now enjoying. For those who select solely on the cover, what the book is about is not transparent, partly because the Jeannie Johal Thriller part is in a smaller font.

I feel like this book definitely would have caught my attention sitting on a shelf in a book store. I feel like if the front cover doesn’t catch my attention I don’t even bother reading the blurb but that wasn’t the case with this book. Although I would have to agree and say that the font makes it hard to read the title simply because it strains my eyes but otherwise I thought it was an eye catching cover.

Both the cover and the title made me think that it was a romance book, with the heart motive both written and drawn. If in some corner I saw, for example, a knife, or a masked man, I would assume that it could be a thriller :D
Nevertheless, it looks nice to me, I can see that someone invested both time and energy (probably money too) to make it look appealing.

The book cover gives off a strong Southern Gothic and psychological thriller vibe. It is visually striking and does a good job of capturing the feel of a thriller with Southern undertones.

At first I thought it was a romance novel, and have lately been reading murder mysteries, so I didnt want to give this book a chance. But then I saw the bottom smaller print that it was a thriller and was immediately drawn in. Also, the cover has a lot of detail as well. Looking at the women in the car you can see two faces, which is also very interesting and left me with questions, or where is this story going to go.
