Did the prologue capture your attention?

The prologue grabbed my attention. Rani's waking up after an explosion rendered her unconscious in the Mumbai hospital she worked in as a maternal and pediatric plastic surgeon was vividly described. Her confusion, panic, and desperation to find her friend and colleague, Jeannie, was riveting. I wanted to keep on reading.

The author's vivid depiction of the settings immediately drew me in. They effectively portrayed the pressures that some women still face, the weather, and the choice of clothing, all while creating a sense of tension right from the first scene.

Yes, I agree that the prologue caught my attention. However, it took a while for me to figure out how those characters fit into the narration of the book.

Yes the prologue instantly drew me in.The suspense was gripping,and the events at the hospital in Mumbai deeply moved me especially the final tense moments between Rani and Jeannie.Their friendship was truly remarkable.

The prologue definitely captured my attention. I was disappointed that there wasn't more relating to that particular story line. I know this book is part of a series, so maybe there's more about it in other books. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy this book enough to want to read more of the series.

I don't know if Jeannie's background is described much in the first book because I haven't read that one. However, it was interesting to include that flashback in this book. It certainly did grab my attention, and I began to wonder how the events at the hospital in Mumbai would tie in with the rest of this story. I was surprised to learn that Jeannie's original name was Rani and that she assumed her deceased friend's identity after the explosion.

It sure did, I then went and downloaded the first book in the series to see if it contained the same prologue, and it didn't, so this has added to the entire plotline even further.

Yes it did! I'm about to add it to my TBR list. The prologue had the perfect mix of tension, and murder mystery feel. The curiosity has definitely pulled me in. Whose's tampering with the projects? Who are these criminals and why do they have information? A story with secrets that need to be unraveled! I can't wait to see what unfolds next.

Yes, the prologue sheds light on Rani and Jeannie's friendship. Both of them were female surgeons but had unique and different personalities. I came to learn about the bond the two ladies shared amidst calamity. I was simply impressed by the strong female characters in the crime fiction.

It was indeed the prologue that pulled me into the story. The main reason being the setting, which was a clinic in the city of Mumbai. I personally reside in Mumbai, and thus, I instantly felt a connection to the story from the very beginning. The plot seemed intriguing from the prologue itself, which was the second reason to dive into this book!

The prologue immediately started the book with action and danger which grabbed my attention and hooked me from the beginning. It was a fast pace and different to other books that I had written. It set up the story with a character switch beginning with mystery that promised to follow throughout the book.

Upon reading the first sentence or two of the prologue, I assumed Rani would lose her life since the book is about Jeannie. I did not expect Rani to use her deceased friend's identity! Now I expect there to be more twists in the plot.

The Prologue was the best part of this book. I felt the author lost her vision somewhere along the way. This left the reader with a oh-hum book.

The prologue definitely drew me. I was so curious to find out how Rani managed to pull the identity switch without anyone's notice and if anyone figured it out later.
