This seems like such a unique concept for a book and I’ve never seen anything like it! I think it would be right up my street, so I’d definitely like to give it a try.

I like mystery books because they always keep me attentive so that I don't miss a thing in the plot. I read the book sample and wish to know more about Calvery and Tully and their promises while in prison. Nice review, by the way.

"Thin Places" by Diane Owens Prettyman is an interesting book of self-discovery with a touch of mystery. Also, themes close to Irish folklore run through the book. It is interesting that an exciting book begins in the death row of a Texas prison.

Thin Places by Diane Owens Prettyman is a book that sets one on a journey of self-discovery. And learning about Tully and Chloe's father makes it look like a more interesting book to read.

Sometimes life places us in situations that change our lives. Just like how Tully met Calvery, who was on death row, and had to tell him where all his possessions were, he requested that he locate his daughter after his death to help her with the money he disclosed to him.

Very detailed review, almost a spoiler. And yet there are other reviews that disagree with this one. As for me, I liked the beginning, and anyway a novel about personal growth and the quest for redemption is worth reading.

Thank you for sharing your insightful review of "Thin Places" by Diane Owens Prettyman! I agree with you that this book beautifully combines elements of self-discovery, mystery, religious undertones, and Irish folklore. It's fascinating to see how different readers interpret and connect with the story in their own unique ways.

The opening in a Texas prison sets the stage for a gripping narrative as Finn Tully embarks on a journey to fulfill Calvery's dying wish of finding his daughter Chloe and revealing his innocence. The characters and their relationships are portrayed with depth, and the author's ability to evoke anticipation and curiosity as Tully and Chloe's paths converge is commendable.

While you wished for a slightly more elaborate climax, you found the book captivating overall, making it difficult to put down. The exploration of personal growth and the quest for redemption struck a chord with you, adding to the book's appeal. I appreciate your rating of 4 out of 4, reflecting the enjoyment and appreciation you found in the story.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and recommendation of "Thin Places." It's reviews like yours that help others discover great reads. Happy reading!

I am really curious how/where Irish folklore fits into a story about ex-prisoners and fishing. Kinda on the fence whether or not I would read it.

It’s a journey of self discovery rolled up in a mystery. There are also religious undertones and roots in Irish folklore. Congratulations BOTD!

I wonder if Tully and Chloe found the treasure. Though this tale of redemption seems like a worthy read, I'm not sure it's a good fit for me.
