Sveva Casati Modignani - Genious or just boring?

Has anyone read this italian author?
She has some known novels like "Vaniglia and Chocolate" and others, but I've read like 10 of her novels and they look much like the same.

Like Nora Roberts,
Danielle Steel,
and even Nicholas Sparks after a while (always the diet coke, always the little holes on the cheeks)

Does any one feel the same?
