Has anyone read her newest book of the Outlander series? An Echo in the Bone? I just finished it the other day, reading it anytime I could in between work and class. I'd say she left it a cliffhanger for just about every character so it'll be hard to wait for another couple of years for the next one to come out. One of my all time favourite series.
Just wondering if anyone else has read the newest book and what your thoughts are.

Hi,
I am only on the first book of the Outlander Series, and I am thoroughly enjoying it, found the first 30 pages or so a little slow, but I am not a patient reader, but I am glad I stuck with the book, its a really wonderful read, so very interesting if you are mad about history as I am, and even if youre not this is a great book. I am only half way through the first book, and I know theres so much more to come, highly recommend the series.

I read the first four in the series, but ran into a few slow spots that somewhat turned me off. I really like her writing and her books, but after a while it was just a little too cumbersome. I do need to finish the series though.

They are long books, but I find that even if I hit a slow spot something comes along and sucks me back in. You should finish the series it's really great, weird, but great.

I've read the entire series, and loved most of it. Yes, sometimes it can drag, during Echo I fidgeted for about 200 pages, then it broke open and the last, oh couple of hundred were pure gold. The ending? Fan-tastic!

The waiting for the next installment is killing me.

I know it sucks having to wait to see what will happen as she left just about every character with something big going on.

Not a fan of hers.

As a man, I'm not really interested in reading about sex between men, consensual or not. My reading of Outlander ended right there, and I won't be reading any more.

The wife-beating scene almost stopped me, but ok, some people are into the spanking scene so I forgave that one.

I adore the Outlander series. I have read most of the books three times, most recently in preparation for Echo. I agree that some parts can be a bit slow, but she more than makes up for it. The cliffhanger in Echo is killing me too!
