oh-ma-lord
SMOK'n!!!!!

Jackie's books are H-O-T!! and I want to know if she's really
done all this exciting stuff in real life.

I get the very strong feeling that she has.

She's just a slut and she writes about it so well.

LOL!

Jackie Christian rocks!

If you're interested in Janet Evanovitch, she's going to be the opening speaker at the Romance Writers of America (RWA) 2009 Conference. It's scheduled for July 15-18 and will be held in Washington, DC. You can find more information on the website at

I would have to say, Margaret Weis. Her books have given me many late nights of epic battles and great heroes. However we might go for mixed drinks instead of beers.

I think Sarah Waters because I would love to meet the person who can come up with such twists and turns in their writing. The other 2 for the same reasons would be Kate Morton and Donna Tartt.
Anyone else adore A Secret History?

Jim Butcher, so that I could pick his brain about Harry Dresden's past.

I wouldn't mind sitting down with Kurt Vonnegut, Mark Twain, Jack London and Clive Bsrker and having a few beers.

Dave Barry... Bill Bryson was nice in person at a reading I attended, but he seems very shy. But the dream of all dreams woul be to have a beer with Mark Twain. I like funny authors from three centuries!

Oh, great one. Rowling looks like she'd be a down-to-earth and yet fascinating person.

I would love to have a meeting with Laurel K. Hamilton. Her writing is amazing and I have so many questions that I want to ask her. She seems like she would be so in depth and have such a unique outlook on life. When I read her books, I am entrapped and I cannot put them down until I am finished reading them. I finished the most recent one in the Anita Blake series, Skin Trade, in two days. That is how amazing she is.

Clive Cussler- I'll bet his true stories are every bit as exciting as the ones his books.

Well Shakespeare would be my first choice, but I wouldn't mind if Jane Austen, PG Wodehouse, Charles Dickens and Montaigne would join us. What an amazing get together that would be!

I'd like to sit down with John Irving.
I'll bet he's really funny, yet serious- and really intelligent. Great storyteller.
