Ian Fleming
You can only be grounded if you're crazy. If you come to me and tell me you should be grounded because you're crazy, I won't ground you.
Why not: Because crazy people don't think they're crazy.

For me it's definitely Sophie Kinsella.

Eric Jerome Dickey, Laurell K. Hamilton, Lisa Gardener! Basically everything I read is a guilty pleasure, unless its academic or self -help. I think reading is supposed to be a pleasure, no guilt needed. I don't read so that I can say, I read. i read because I find it enjoyable and these so called guilty pleasures make it enjoyable!

I hate to admit that I read and enjoyed every Twilight book. Blame it on the fact that the first one was published when I was a wee teen and I hate to see anything go unfinished.

Kirsten wrote:Janet Evanovich, although no giult involved, just pleasure. I love her Stephanie Plum novels they are hilarious
I was about to write the same one! I do not remember which one, but one of the Stephanie Plum novels where Grandma Mazur says 'Day my make, punk' is the ONLY book that has ever made me laugh out LOUD. Books can make me laugh on the inside, of course, but only Janet Evanovich has made me laugh loudly.

Ugh....Nicholas Sparks. I am usually not a fan of the gippy dippy ewy gooey romance but I can't lie I love reading some of his books in the summer. They always make me cry

DItto on Evanovich. One of the few authors who gets away with the kind of formulaic trash she writes because her sense of humor always holds up. Stephanie may be getting a little long on the heel, but I'm really liking the new series she's started about the Salem-based baker (and kind of junior league Stephanie) that brings in the supernatural characters Evanovich created for the "non numbers" Stephanie books.

I sometimes indulge in J.K. Rowling. It's a bit immature, but I still love the Harry Potter books! :D

I agree with another reader, Stephanie Plum of the Janet Evanovich fame is a load of fun ....Lula, grandma...Ranger oh my!! Also a huge fan of Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta series. Always a great read. Kathy Reichs will keep me reading into the wee hours...and double checking every creak I hear from the wind in the walls. :) Ann Rule true crime novels are also books I will read and reread. Not because I love violence but I am constantly amazed at the way some persons rationalize and justify selfishly bizarre behavior. For instance, her book Small Sacrifices. Great book yet a horrific story I am drawn to over and over.

V.C. Andrews. Perhaps a hold over from my teenage days, but I just can't help it!
