Must be an age thingrssllue wrote:I am okay at best with the authors and the titles as well. I know the info is in my head, I just struggle to get to it sometimes.

I actually very rarely forget an authors name if I enjoy their writing.
Titles...are sometimes a little bit trickier...
But what really sucks...
Remembering a part from a book and not being able to remember what book or series or author...I've read too much!
What is grief, if not love persevering?
Grief is just love with no place to go.

The worst is not remembering the title or author but wanting to recommend or reread the book!!! gah!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one to experience this!

They are super famous
I read the book only because of the author
They have an exceptionally memorable name
Otherwise it is pretty much guaranteed that I will forget.

*LOLOLOLOL* ... that's me all over.ALynnPowers wrote:I'm lucky I remember my own name!
I can remember the more memorable books I've read as well as their authors but I confess that I hardly ever remember the authors of most books I read and more than half the time I forget the exact name of the title of the book. I do keep lists for reference though. I keep a list containing the book title, author, and a sentence or two to remind me what the book is about. Once I've read the description I am perfectly clear on the story, the characters, and the impression it made upon me.

I was an English major in college, and I was very close to getting a degree in film. Sometimes I feel like everything I love and learned during that time in my life is out the window because of my random forgetfulness.
