Lora Leigh, Christine Warren, Angela Knight, some of the ones always good for a "guilty pleasure" read. Even if I don't feel guilty about reading them : )

Honestly, I'm not really in the business of feeling guilty about my pleasures. If I like something, I don't feel weird about it. I guess in the scope of what you were looking for though; I do enjoy a good ridiculous, cheesy romantic novel every now and then. The equivalent of a 'chick flick' for me.

Laurell K. Hamilton, J. D. Robb (otherwise known as Nora Roberts), James Patterson, and I will deny it to my husband Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time".The reason I would deny it is because he said he would not Marry me until I read them, we have been together 16 years going on our 10th Anniversary and I just read them last year.

I've read some of Nora Roberts' books, but after a while her books just start to become too similar or repetitive for me. I feel the same about Nicholas Sparks and a lot of books that get made into a movie. For authors like these, the first book you read by the is always the best, and after that its just eh.

I agree. Some books are literal "chick flicks"!

Clive Cussler is one of my guilty pleasures especially for beach reading. They are pretty fast paced and entertaining. They are the books that if I get interrupted I can putdown and pick it right back up where I left off without worrying too much about recalling the most recent pages. I enjoy the adventure/treasure hunts tied with the historical anecdotes.

No author in particular but I do read "trashy" romance on occassion but they aren't my favorite.

I love Gregory Maguire!
I read the first two installments of the "Wicked" series in high school; "Wicked" and "Son of a Witch". Since, I have read the last two books in the series, "A lion Among Men", and "Out of Oz", and I love all four.
"Wicked: The Life and Times of The Wicked Witch of the West" is the "true" story of the female antagonist of Frank L. Baum's "The Wizard of Oz". It is the biography of Elphaba, a girl born green in Munchkinland, Oz. The preceding books take us through all of the lives that had sprouted from the Witch's existence, her son, the "Cowardly" Lion, and her granddaughter, respectively.
Gregory Maguire is my "Guiltiest Pleasure Author" because his writing is very rich in nature. Some people might find it so rich as to be hard to digest, but I believe that everyone craves the pleasure to be had from this type of "Evil Explained Good" tale! So throw on your sexiest nightgown, grab a slice of devils-food cake and a glass of Red, and dig in!

Probably Richelle Mead, but only her Georgina Kincaid series. I love it, but it has SO many flaws. I don't think I could forgive anyone but Mead for the kinds of flaws that are in those books. I have reread it like three times.
