For this one, I would have to say Nicholas Sparks. He's one of those authors that keeps getting his books made into movies and we all just wonder why. You can truly say that if you have read one of his books then you have read them all. He repeats his themes over and over and after reading the third or fourth book it seems to be the same scenes on repeat. I think that he gets way too much praise for the work that he completes and too many of his stories have been converted into films.

John Green. His work is lovely but so many people I know over-hyped him before I actually read his stuff. I mean I liked what I read, but I was expecting a little bit more.

Dan Brown, hands down. I think he just got lucky one time and now he does not write anything else but the same formula, over and over again. Oh well, as long as it sells, I guess.
