You obviously have only met the men your mother would approve of, the ones who only look!
Oh, how i wish that were true. Trust me, my mother doesn't approve of anyone. Ever.

So do the people that guessed your sex right get, like, a cookie or something? Because, if so, that would be swell...... :D

She's probably right too! We do have a couple of spare Prince Charming's over here in the UK... A lovely girl like yourself can always hope!

Is that unanimous? Shall I spill the beans? Or does anybody want one last guess?

Well, I'll give you a second opinion on your sig! "Amateurs built the Ark, professionals built the Titanic ... !" There was nothing wrong with the Titanic. No ship could have survived that collision with that iceberg at that speed. It was the Captain who grossly miscalculated the time the Titanic would take to turn. He should have put the engines full astern, as well as turning. (I grew up playing beside the Titanic memorial in Southampton, England. The Titanic made her fateful voyage from Southampton, and many of the crew who died, including the famous bandsmen who played on until the end, came from Southampton.)

I do believe it was because shortcuts were taken in construction resulting in the water flooding the ships quicker than anticipated. Had the original plans been followed there would probably have been sufficient time to evacuate the ship and while the ship would still have gone down there would have been many more survivors. But sure who can tell ... fate is fate!

As far as i know, the captain demanded more and more speed so they could arrive at their destination a day sooner than schedueled and hence the unforseen collision with the iceberg which, as mentioned, no ship could have handled. And the rest is history.

As with any disaster there was a combination of factors but I hold with my original post if the proper specifications had been adhered to the ship would not have broken up & sank so quickly and would still have been visible when the Carpathia got on site.

Hmmm... I've never tried to bake cookies American-style. I'm in Hampshire, England, the same county as Jane Austen's House.
I would love to go to the UK, have always wanted to, but not necessarily for the Prince's.
But i would teach you how to bake cookies. Actually, thats my goal in life: to teach you how to bake cookies. =)

I still think your a guy so you might as well tell us!!

There's a lovely oven, all ready and waiting for you to teach me how to bake cookies. I don't have a picture of the oven, but here's a picture of your new home in Southampton, Hampshire:

Don't worry if your mother doesn't approve of me either... It will cost her a fortune in international phone calls to say so!
