The Hunger Games series were good. I never would have imagined enjoying books where children have to kill each other off but they were pretty suspenseful.

This is actually pretty tough. They are two seperate stories. I really enjoyed each series. However, I enjoyed the Harry Potter World a lot better. I also enjoyed J.K Rowlings humor through out the book. You can see some of her writing style from Harry Potter shine through the Casual Vacancy.
I read The Cuckoos Calling and it was as if a different author wrote it altogether. I really wish she would stick to what she does best. She has a great sense of humor.

Besides, they don't really have much in common in order to be compared. Collins' is writing about the post-apocalyptic struggle, while Rowling has written about growing up in a world of magic.
No offense to the author of the topic, but I really don't see how the two could be compared.

The Hunger games is better as a movie than a book.
