Dennis Lehane

I've decided that pretty much anything written by him is gold. I started out with Mystic River and Shutter Island, but the Kenzie/Gennaro books are his best stuff. Anyone else like him? How's his new book?

Read Mystic River this week - brilliant - Read Shutter Island around the time the movie came out to do a compare & of course, it was better than the movie. I intend looking up more of his books

I think he is a really great writer. I picked up Shutter Island when I heard the movie was coming out. It seemed like an interesting book, since I usually like the book better than the movie. This book did not disappoint. He has a very fluid writing style that allowed me to move through his books very quickly without losing any of the detail and suspense. I ended up reading the entire Kenzie/Gennaro series. Its been a while now, think I will read them again!

One of my favorites by Dennis Lehane is the short story Running Out of Dog which appears in Coronado: Stories, a compilation of short fiction written by Lehane.

I I love the Knenzi/Gennar books and have begin the Coughlin series. I have not read is new book but it is definitely on my "To-Read" list.
