I haven't read everything she's written so I can't speak for her whole body of work. However, I have read most of the Weetzie Bat books, though, and the fantasy novel Primavera. I find that the books I've read share some similarities... in the Weetzie books, I see recurring themes of the outsider feeling an acute awareness of his/her place outside mainstream society and then finding other outsiders to bond with. I also enjoy the surreal, magical quality of her writing. My favorite of her books, hands down, is Witch Baby.

I love her style of writing. Sometimes I feel like her novels are just long poems in reality. My favorite book by her would definitely be I was a teenage faerie

I have read wasteland and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have purchased weetzie bat but have not had the chance to read it sadly enough :-) but from what I hear, all of her books are very good
How happy is the blameless Vestal's lot! The world forgetting, by the world forgot. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind! Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd.
