Wodehouse anyone?

I am wondering if there's any Wodehouse fans here. I can't get enough the stuff. He is our greatest writer, easily, sorry Shakespeare.

My favourite character is Monty Bodkins. And, of course, Bertie Wooster.

How bout you? Like any particular story? Or character?

I've been a Wodehouse fan for as long as I can remember. Although, after a point, the characters get slightly predictable, don't you think? I remember reading in an 'Introduction' in one of his books, he says (I paraphrase him greatly) that people are always telling him that he uses the same characters in every novel and only changes their names. So this time he hasn't bothered to change the names either. Love him!

haha, sounds like him. He's like an eccentric uncle or godfather who pops up at a birthday and sets something on fire, at least how I imagine him.

Wodehouse is indeed a master craftsman. Not a master artist, but a master craftsman.

I find him a long-term reading companion. I binge on a few of his novels, get overcome by the glut of linguistic panache, and then have to wait six months before I pick him up again.

And I have to say that I thought the Fry and Laurie adaptations did justice to old Plum.
