I am a huge horror and thriller fan. Not just the stereotypical zombies and vampires, but more the original themes. I really like Al Sarrantonio, Steve Alter, and Robert Bloch. I'd love to find another author similar to these. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

I suggest you read Jeff Lindsay's Darkly Dreaming Dexter, Dearly Devoted Dexter,and Dexter in the Dark. If you enjoy the show Dexter this is where they got the material. Enjoy!

I second the suggestion - those were very well-written. Although the show is definitely close to the book, the book provides just so much more insight into Dexter's character and his relationship with his family, girlfriend, etc.

I just recieved my omnibus of the first three Dexter series books! So excited to read it and I will post a review as soon as I finish!
