I love Ted Dekkers work. He inspires me to be a better man. Are there any other authors that culiminate all the he does in his books ? Are there any other genres I should look into?

Have you read Frank Peretti? He actually co-authored House with Dekker. His work is pretty good, although I have yet to find an author that I enjoy as much as Dekker.

I have read a lot of his work but then again not as good as dekker's. Also really like Eric Wilson and Travis thrasher.

Dekker's books have become so graphically violent, that I would agree Travis Thrasher is probably the only one close now, and maybe Robert Liparulo and Mike Dellosso.

The only book I've "read" (listened to on audio) was The Bride Collector. It was really violent and creepy. Are most of his books violent? I wasn't really thrilled as I've heard so much about this author. I have the Circle series but haven't gotten to it yet.

The only books of his that sounded appealing to me were Blessed Child (with Bill Bright,April 2001), A Man Called Blessed (with Bill Bright,September 2002)Blink(January 2003, as Blink of an Eye November 2007) and Showdown(January 2006),so I haven't read anything else or anything he wrote after 2006,but the synopsis' of his other books and reading the 1-2 star reviews just sounded way over the line of violence for me,and Showdown amost was. When I was a Christian I preferred books like the ones I mentioned, and Deadline,Dominion and Decption by Randy Alcorn,The List by Robert Whitlow, and Frank Peretti's books.

It all depends on how you look at it. We all have a deadline in life question is what are we going to do with our lives until then. As for me I will serve The Lord. The circle trilogy and the other a man named blessed, Adam, and a lot of teds other works are a lot cleaner. I love the way ted uses darker situations to grip his readers but most if not all are from the point of view of the good guy.. I suggest you read the circle trilogy and you will be amazed and hooked please let me know what you think

Robert Liparulo is a really great author that definitely has a similar vibe to Ted Dekker. I also second the suggestion of Mike Delosso and Eric Wilson.
