Lisa See

Post by Melaniep »

Any other Lisa See fans here? I absolutely love the way her novels transport me to a different time and place so rich with culture and tradition. The first I read was Snow Flower and the Secret Fan and it's still my favorite of her books. I'm excited to see how it translates in film!

I'm with you ... loved Snow Flower & The Secret Fan & enjoyed Peony in Love

I didn't know Snow Flower was being filmed but I will be looking forward to that, thanks

I loved Snow Flower :D I haven't read Peony in Love yet but have it on my bookshelf.
I haven't heard about the movie either but I'd love to see it :)

I hadn't heard of the movie either until I 'liked' Lisa See on Facebook. It's set to release July 15th. This link has more information. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1541995/

Has anybody read Shanghai Girls? I didn't like it as much as her Snow Flower or Peony, but I think that has more to do with the time and location that it was set in than anything.
