Review of The Desires of Elise
The Desires of Elise–The Complete Trilogy: A Steamy Trilogy introduces Elise Adair, a middle-aged woman who filed for divorce from her husband after 24 long years of marriage. Elise did not want her children, especially her daughter, to stay in a loveless and abusive relationship and believe it was acceptable. She, therefore, filed for divorce. In the last ten years of their marriage, Elise and her husband were not intimate, and she had buried those feelings deep inside her. One day, Wyatt walked into Elise’s furniture store to buy a couch. She could not help but notice how fine Wyatt was, and for a moment, she got lost in her thoughts, thinking about things she had never seen or done with a man. Shortly after their first encounter at the store, Elise and Wyatt hooked up, and she experienced a sexual awakening like no other. Read the book to learn more about the protagonist’s adventures and experiences.
This book is a collection of three novels, and I was impressed by the seamless transition from the first novel to the second and third. All three books were intriguing and unpredictable and did not disappoint. Georgia Adler kept the momentum going with the storylines. I could effortlessly keep up with the characters and liked that they weren’t too many.
The only aspect of the book that I disliked was the unprotected sex that most characters practiced. Many characters were reckless and had raw sex with random people without protection. I didn’t like this part because I found it somewhat irresponsible of the author to promote recklessness. Other readers might not share the same sentiments as me, and I invite them to read the book for themselves and form their conclusions.
I spotted only eleven errors in this collection of novels. These errors work up to less than four per book and prove that the books have been professionally edited. However, I recommend another round to polish and eliminate the errors in this collection.
My overall rating of this collection is 4 out of 5 stars. I have deducted a star because of the errors. Otherwise, the novel is steamy, unpredictable, and enjoyable.
This collection dives deep into BDSM, fetishes, orgies, and many other wild forms of sex. I, therefore, recommend it to a mature audience who enjoys steamy novels. There are a couple of scenes that include sexual violation. These scenes may trigger sensitive readers.
