Reflected in You by Sylvia Day

Post by indiereader »

This book is the 2nd one in the Crossfire series by Sylvia Day. The entire series is phenomenal but this book was my favorite because, it is in this book we learn more about Gideon Cross and Eva Tramwell. It is in this story that the couple really has to deal with some painful truths about themselves. The abuse they both have encountered in life will rear it's ugly head into the relationship and both will have to make some sacrifices to adjust. Past relationships also threaten to tear them apart but nonetheless they emerge still in love but they must decide whether that in and of itself is enough.

When I first picked up this series I though it was gong to be just like 50 shades but it's completely different. Love how it has every day problems in it, it makes it seem more real.

I really enjoyed this book. I found it gripping from the first page and could not put it down. It is well written and the author knows how to hook you in. Characters were easy to like and I found them more captivating than others in similar themed books.

Reflected On You by Sylvia Day is a story about a difficult relationship between two people who have complicated backgrounds.

The relationship isn't an ordinary one. It's full of emotions and hardships.

They both want to love one another but Gideon's problems including his night terrors get in the way of their relationship.

Eva dealt with her problems from the past and found the courage to stand up to the woman who threatened her relationship.

This book was really good. I enjoyed the main characters. A lot of the struggles that was happening to them is relevant to what's happening to the rich and famous today.

I really enjoyed this series and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't just rehash of the Fifty Shades Trilogy.
In this series both characters have their own complications from their pasts which they have to overcome to be together, nothing seems plain sailing and there are obstacles at almost every turn.
I love that it has the kind of everyday problems that the reader can relate to which helps draw us into the story more and provides a great channel for escapism.
The characters are very easy to like and I found myself willing them to overcome the obstacles and intrigued as to what's next and how they deal with it.
Couldn't put this book down!!
