"Wrong Question, Right Answer" by Elle Casey

Post by Kmhinkle »

First, I have to admit that I had a hard time getting myself to stick with the book after reading just the first two chapters. As I am not someone who quits easily I committed and made it through the entire book. At first I was turned off by the main character Toni. Personally, she seemed a bit angry and acted as though she was punishing the world for something. It took me getting through the first couple chapters to realize that she had a very good reason to be angry and that actually, her angry attitude was more of a defense mechanism. She used her anger from letting herself move on with her life when she still felt she shouldn't be allowed to become happy and she used to to keep others at arms length. To me this is something I could see everyday people do to themselves especially, after living through a bad experience.

As I read through the book I found myself amazed with how well the authored captured how the characters felt and their emotions. It's beautifully written and very well detailed. At moments I felt as though I was living the story trough the characters eyes. The story had a well thought through plot and it carried on well as the story progressed.

I found myself at times irritated with the character Toni, as I believe our personalities clashed. Where she would make quick choices that may have put herself in danger, I was then talking to the book pages telling her to be more cautious and to think things through. At that point I knew that the author was a talented writer to have me so wrapped up in the story that I was speaking to the book.

This is a book I would recommend to other readers who like a good romance, but what a change of pace from other story themes. I have to give the book two thumbs up and hope that the author, Elle Casey, will have more hits like this one come out on the future that I can sink my teeth into.
