Chasing Mr. Wright: Book 1 Of The Fated Heart Series

Post by MidnightFantasy »

Grayson Wright has been in a toxic relationship with his boyfriend of ten years. He has just been going through the motions of being a boyfriend, friend, business partner and bother. He is stuck in a rut in how to get out of his relationship but cant find the right time or place. That changes when Gray plans a surprise birthday party for his boyfriend and ends up getting a not so nice surprise himself. Chase Rivers has been working two jobs waiting for an opportunity to get an entry level job into his dream job of marketing. He catches a break and gets an entry level job and excepts it with high hopes. Chase is also wishing that his new luck in finding a better job will spill over to his personal life. Chase has been on a mission to find Mr. Right, even though every guy he finds is a liar and cheater. The same can not be said for his friends around him, since he has be able to help friends find their Mr. Right. When will it be his time? Fate can be a funny thing when a date gone wrong and a surprise clash together. These two men meet in the most awkward ways but what does fate have in store for them.

This book is written in the POV of both Chase and Gray. This works really well for the story so that the reader can see the reactions and thoughts that go through these characters minds. Now I am a avid reader of m/m romance and many authors can get stuck in the same rhyme and rhythm for the story. Where this author doesn't get stuck in the same plot lines she does do the whole insta love route. Where the main characters have only know each other for days and already think they are in love with with each other. With that said the author does do a good job at incorporating side and supporting characters. The side/supporting characters are a nice touch to the main characters. These characters help expand the role of the main characters and making them seem more dimensional. While also bring in some humor and a helping hand when needed. Another good point is that the romance in this book is super cute and filled with very little angst. If there is a bump in the road it get resolved very easily, sometimes a little to easily but this book is ment to be cute and fluffy. The down side is that the plot suffers a bit for it can be unrealistic and hop from place to place. In some parts the reader is left going "how does that even work". But there are some pretty cute scenes in there that make you all warm inside. So if your looking for a quick cute read with a background plot then this is the book for you.The story is still a good read but also unremarkable in that one a done kind of way.

Sounds like a good book. I need to add it to my TBR list. Thank you.
